What will you learn?
This one day course looks at the more advanced aspects of Adobe Photoshop as used by those engaged in Photography. The course will cover areas such as customising the application for efficient photographic image production, the relationship between images size, resolution and colour depth, screen and print calibration, the benefits of selection and layering techniques, plus a whole host of tricks and tips.
What previous experience will you need?
You will be expected to have a basic knowledge of Photoshop and an understanding of photography skills. Ideally you will have attended ncdi’s introduction to PhotoShop course.
What will the session include?
- Understanding digital colour
- Calibration and colour management
- Adjustment layers
- Clipping paths and selections
- Layer masking for sharpening
- Extracting objects from their background
- Sharpening techniques
- Advanced compositing and blending
