What will you learn?
QuarkXPress is the long established industry standard desktop publishing (DTP) application in all areas of design and print production. This one-day training session in desktop publishing consists of an insight into desktop publishing practices and page layout, looking at how images and text are placed, to final output to print specifications. This can form the basis for outputting your own corporate materials, catalogues, exhibition graphics or promotional materials.
What previous experience will you need?
A basic knowledge of computers and operating systems, with some Adobe PhotoShop experience being an advantage, although not essential.
What will the session include?
- Creating and saving documents
- Working with pages
- Adding text
- Formatting text
- Working with text boxes
- Working with items
- Importing images
- Preparing files for printing
- Saving work in different computer file formats
