Delegates are shown how to create presentable spreadsheets which include simple calculations.

Suitable for

Those with either minimal or no knowledge of Excel and how spreadsheets work.

What experience you will need

Basic keyboard and mouse skills needed to help navigate and explore the windows environment.

Getting started:
- The Menu Bar and Toolbars
- Row and Column Headers
- The Active Cell
- Using the Office Assistant

Creating Workbooks:
- Opening, closing and saving workbooks
- Entering and editing data

Working with worksheets and cells:
- Selecting cells
- Moving and copying data

Entering data into a worksheet:
- Editing and deleting cells
- Using undo, drag and drop and autofill
- Creating custom lists
- Inserting and deleting rows and columns
- Saving a file

Formatting Cells:
- Using format/cells
- The formatting toolbar
- Changing alignment    

Changing type and size of font:
- Using lines and shading
- Using autoformat
- Cut, copy and paste
- Preventing rounding errors
- Formatting numbers
- Using currency, percentage, comma style
and decimal place
- Chart wizard
- Clearing a worksheet

Structuring the worksheet:
- Inserting/deleting worksheets
- Inserting/deleting rows and columns
- Resizing rows and columns

Printing worksheets:
- Changing the page setup
- Working in print preview
- Altering the print area

Entering basic calculations:
- Basic arithmetic functions
- Introducing Excel functions
- Using autosum

CD Rom/Manual
- Instructions on how to open the user manual
