West Yorkshire Adult Work-based Learner Awards 2008
Congratulations to Ann Wood - Administrator, Long-term Conditions Team
Ann Wood won the first Adult Work-Based Learner Award in the Business Services Sector in recognition of her achievements under the Traineeship programme.
Dewsbury College in partnership with Kirklees PCT, deliver vocational qualifications in the work place for PCT employees. Ann achieved NVQ Business & Administration Level 3 in 2007; following a change of role and increased responsibilities she is now working towards NVQ Level 4.
The awards aim to improve progression opportunities into and through higher education for work-based and vocational learners, and as a result improve the performance of businesses and the West Yorkshire economy.
Ann was nominated by the PCT for the positive way in which she has embraced the opportunity to undertake further training and development and in recognition of her commitment to the Long Term Conditions Teams at Eddercliffe and Fartown Health Centres.
Sharon Pickering, Regional Director of the Regional Skills Partnership presented Ann with her award and £100 gift voucher at a presentation evening held at Leeds Civic Hall on Thursday, 12 June 2008.
